When we launched the local delivery pilot (LDP) approach we stressed that there would be a strong emphasis on learning throughout the pilots.
Shared learning is an essential feature of this work and we want to be able to share in a way that significantly helps other locations.
One way will be through workshops and webinars.
April 2019 - register for the next session
The second in the series of our local delivery pilot community of learning webinars looks at community engagement. During the webinar, attendees will hear from colleagues from two of the local delivery pilots, Birmingham and Solihull, and Withernsea, who will tell their stories about how they have communicated with people in their local communities.
The webinar is taking place on Tuesday, 9 April, from 12pm-1pm - click below to sign up.
There will be presentations by Beccy Marston, Dee Manning and Karen Creavin, all of The Active Wellbeing Society, and East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Angela Williams, who will talk about how they are working collaboratively with local people, the approaches they are taking, any challenges they have faced and overcome, what they have learnt while engaging with their communities and how it's influencing what’s happening.
The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session providing the opportunity for attendees.
On the 24 January, 2019, we broadcast our first community of learning webinar where Chris Perks, our executive director for local delivery, and Naomi Shearon, our strategic lead for behaviour change, shared the emerging learning so far from the local delivery pilots.
The webinar looked at the themes which are most commonly occurring across the pilots which we think have significance and relevance across the sector. If you missed the webinar, would like to hear it again, or would like to share it with colleagues you can view it here.
November 2018 Workshops
We, together with the local delivery pilots, recently talked with 130 delegates from a range of organisations across the country about the experiences so far of the pilots' work.
If you are interested in the learning shared and topics explored you can read about it in our report from the workshops which includes all the slides.
